Description

We are looking to add an Electrical Engineer to our Special Test Equipment Development Engineering Group. As a member of the company's FOS team, your primary focus would be the development of Specialized Test Equipment used to test product through all phases of design and production. You would also assume the responsibility of presenting designs to internal customers for review, and addressing technical issues. A solid understanding of circuit theory, components, firmware, software and troubleshooting skills is required.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Focus on the design and development of specialized systems and special test equipment for electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical products.
  • Extensive analog and digital circuit design, microcontrollers, data acquisition, filtering/conditioning, printed circuit design, measurement error analysis, and future system-level engineering.
  • Utilization of CAE tools such as Altium and SPICE, and laboratory equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, function generators, etc. used to perform circuit design, verification and troubleshooting. Working with or creating embedded firmware to control hardware.
  • Working with various serial communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-422, SPI, I2C, etc.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • BSEE/MSEE or BSEET with 3+ years relevant work experience or post-grad education will be considered.
  • Experience designing with and troubleshooting common electronics components and circuits. Working knowledge of engineering drawing practices and configuration management methods. Working knowledge of PLD/FPGA (System Verilog, Intel, Microchip) is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and various CAD/CAE tools.
